Weddings have always been funded in common — parents, families, and couples, all giving toward one day. What's been missing is a clean ledger: one place where every gift is tracked, every payment is clear, and everyone can simply enjoy the wedding.
That's the common purse.
Questions, answered plainly
Does money move through Common Purse?
No — and that's by design. Common Purse is the ledger, not the bank. You pay vendors and send transfers however you already do (Zelle, Venmo, check); the ledger records it, reconciles it against the right payments, and keeps everyone's numbers in agreement.
What exactly do contributors see?
Only what you assign to them: their line items, the payment progress on those items, and their own running balance. They never see your full budget, your other contributors, or anything you've marked private.
Is my contract data private?
Yes. Contracts are stored in private storage that only your authenticated account can reach, and they're processed by Anthropic's Claude under commercial terms that prohibit training on your data. See our Trust page for the full picture.
What if no one else is contributing?
Common Purse works beautifully for self-funded couples too — the AI budget, contract reading, vendor comparison, and payment schedule are all yours. The family features are there if circumstances change.
What does it cost?
It's free during the beta. When pricing arrives, it will be a single one-time purchase for your whole wedding — never a subscription.
