What we collect

Common Purse stores the information you enter to plan your wedding budget: your email address, your partner's and funders' names and email addresses, wedding details (date, location, guest count), budget figures, payment records, money transfers between you and your funders, and any vendor contracts you upload.

How we use it

Your data is used only to provide the product: showing your budget to you and the people you invite, at the access level you assign them. Funders you invite see only the line items you assign to them — never your full budget, other funders, or your contracts.

When you upload a vendor contract or request a vendor comparison, the document is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. Anthropic does not train models on this data per their commercial terms. We never sell your data or share it with anyone else.

Where it lives

Data is stored in our hosting provider's database and private file storage. Emails (sign-in links and invitations) are delivered through Resend. We keep your data for as long as your account exists.

The services that process data on our behalf (our subprocessors) are: Vercel (hosting and file storage), Neon (database), Anthropic (AI contract analysis), Resend (outbound email), and Forward Email (inbound mail forwarding). The full list with purposes and locations is on our Trust page, which we update before adding any new provider.

Your choices

You can delete individual contracts, payments, funders, and transfers in the app at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email hello@commonpurse.com and we'll complete the deletion within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll email account holders before the change takes effect.
